Sheepskin boots are made in New Zealand with pride - from the highest quality shearling sheepskin. The boots have a cowhide double stitched reinforced heel and toe for extra durability.

Sheepskin boots stand at about 10 inches high - up to mid calf. Our high top tall sheepskin boots stand about 15 inches high and come up to just under your knees (depending on the size of the boot).

Sheepskin boots are available in Sand and Chestnut colours.

The tops of the sheepskin boots can be rolled over to expose the sheepskin lining and create a different look for you and your boots.

Sheepskin boots - construction

We supply the only sheepskin boot on the market with pure rubber soles for positive traction on snow and ice and "floating on the clouds" comfort.

The rubber sole is lightweight yet provides traction in wet, snow and slippery conditions. A heat reflective film is inserted above the sole to retain heat.

The 5/8 inch thick shearling wool inside moulds to the shape of your foot creating natural arch support.

Each sheepskin boot has a removable insole made with a rubber molded bootbed and lambskin. These can be removed to dry or replaced easily.

The soft wool fibres of natural sheepskin act as a natural insulator to keep your feet warm and comfortable. Sheepskin is breathable, wicking moisture away keeping your feet dry and cosy.

These boots are an easy fit because the fleece forms around your feet. If you're in doubt about your size, just tell us in the comments box at the end of the order form.

Sheepskin boots - cleaning and waterproofing

To wash your sheepskin boots, use a mild soap and a brush or cloth. Rinse them off and keep the sheepskin boots inside away from the heat while they dry.

For cleaning our sheepskin boots, slippers and coats, we provide a " Suede Eraser" for small marks and stains (even pen marks). For more complete cleaning use our sheepskin shampoo which will work for all leather and sheepskin.

Your boots and coat will be naturally water resistant but we also supply a water repellent spray just in case. Of course, the sheepskin coats are drycleanable which could be done maybe once per year if necessary.

You can wear your boots with or without socks. Please wear wool socks though, like our Milford Merino Wool Socks. Woolen socks will not effect the breathability of your sheepskin boots.

Sheepskin boots - sizing

If you are a half size - order the size smaller - this is especially so for womens sizes. We get more returns from boots being too big than too small.

All sheepskin boots will feel snug and almost too tight to start with. Width is never a problem as they will eventually stretch out. The length will not stretch much, so if your toe touches the end hard, you will have to return them. Our sheepskin boots are a natural and breathable leather product that will stretch over a couple of days. If you know your shoe size and tell us, there should be no problem fitting your sheepskin boots. If in doubt - the Euro sizes are the most accurate - all sports shoes have Euro sizes.

If after a year of use they seem a bit loose, don't worry, you can add another insole to tighten them up.

Our sheepskin boots only come in whole number sizes not half sizes. Women's Boots - order the smaller size - for instance if you are size 8 1/2 - order the size 8. Men's sizes - if you have a wide foot best to order the larger size, but the boots are sized generously and sizes are unisex . Most size issues are because the boots are too large.

When ordering make sure you're in the correct shop - we have five shops listed. New Zealand, Australia and UK have the same shoe sizes. USA sizes are different. If you are from the USA look up to the top of your screen and make sure you are in the USA shop where all prices are in US dollars and postage is included in the price. Europe sizes are likewise in the Euro shop.

We send direct from New Zealand where all the best sheepskin boots come from. There are no middlemen. The factory makes the boots for us right here to our specifications, and we send them direct to you via Airmail insured post from New Zealand, the same day we receive your order - it usually takes about one week. The New Zealand dollar is very weak now - worth less than half of the USA dollar. This is why our sheepskin boots are so inexpensive, but the quality is still the world's best!

Maruia brand sheepskin boots

Our sheepskin boots are the "Maruia Brand" made exclusively for The New Zealand Nature Company. The sole is a genuine rubber non marking sole with an excellent grip. The soles have an EVA insert added in the base of the sole to add to comfort. The sheepskin boots have a "leatherboard" runner with a reflective silver film bonded onto it to reflect body heat in extreme cold. The NZ Nature system has a molded EVA footbed with a sheepskin insole glued to it.
