Comforters bedding; wool comforters bedding - pure wool filled comforters bedding with crisp pure cotton on the outside. You can be cosy in the winter and cool in the summer. Wool comforters bedding insulates and breathes to help regulate your body temperature. Crisp tightly woven soft cotton outer shell with a very high thread count, insures that the wool doesn't poke through. Sizes relate to grams per metre. 350gsm is a medium weight comforter while the 500gsm is best for colder climates. Both are light weight with adequate loft for most conditions.

Our wool comforters bedding is made in New Zealand, where the quality is the best and 100% guaranteed. New Zealand sheepskins and wool are respected worldwide.

Pure wool from New Zealand is the mark of quality in Wool Bedding

Wool comforters bedding

  • Highest quality pure wool filling - 350 and 500 gsm
  • Pure cotton, tightly woven outer shell - 170 threadcount
  • Breathes and insulates to regulate your body temperature
  • Quilting ensures the woolen filling will not move round
  • No hot and cold spots
  • Moth and dust mite resistant
  • Non-allergenic

The average person gives off a pint of water vapour as perspiration during an eight hour sleep. The wool in our wool comforters has the ability to absorb large amounts of moisture without leaving you feeling wet and clammy. No other fiber does this as well. The wool comforters bedding is also naturally flame resistant and meets state flammability regulations. The wool used in our comforters bedding will spring back into shape, and bend back into itself some 20,000 times without breaking (compared to 3,200 times for cotton).

350 or 500 gsm Wool Comforter Weights

Our wool comforter bedding is made in two weights: 350 gsm and 500 gsm. Grams per metre (gsm) is the amount of wool (by weight) inside the cotton quilting, in a square metre basis. The 350 gsm (approx. equal to the warmth of two good quality blankets, but lighter weight of course), and 500 gsm (approx. equal to the warmth of 3-4 good quality blankets).

Wool comforters bedding

The 350 gsm wool comforter bedding is a three season wool duvet, but will be fine year round in a normal heated house or in warmer climates.
The 500 gsm wool comforter bedding is a 4 season wool duvet, and is the absolute top of the line for wool bedding.

Because wool is a natural insulator the duvet is able to be made light in weight so they are exceptionally comfortable to sleep under. The size that you prefer is a matter of personal choice. The most popular is the 500 gsm weight wool duvet for temperate climates and the 350 gsm duvet is best for warmer climates.
